In the south of Munich on the river ISAR there is a very old park that was founded in 1839. There are great big trees here that are 150 - 200 years old. Some of them are affected by a fungus that makes them sick and rotten. They are checked from time to time and some are cut down. This year there were a lot of trees.
Some of the trees are infested with a fungus that makes them sick and rotten from the inside. The trees lose their stability and eventually simply fall over. So they are cut down first.
